While we naturally associate leadership with older and wiser people, the US has historically had a number of relatively young presidents. Theodore Roosevelt was 42 years old when he took office, John F. Kennedy was 43, and Bill Clinton was 46. More recently Barack Obama was only 47 years old when he became President.
